Rebild Kentucky

Rebild National Park Society - A Danish American Friendship Organization

Welcome to the Bluegrass,
home of famous thoroughbred horses, smooth Bourbon and beautiful rolling hills
.

It is our pleasure to welcome the Rebild Family and Friends to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In Berea, we are extremely proud of hosting our second Rebild convention and to show some real Southern hospitality at the historic and nationwide renown Hotel Boone Tavern.

Berea College is the center of town and with its unique labor program it has allowed thousands of young people to pursue a higher education that would otherwise have been unreachable for them. So many positive things have come out of this educational institution that serves only 1700 students.

The City of Berea has about 13,500 residents, and even though arts and crafts, dance and music are significant factors in Berea, industries such as Hitachi, a sub-supplier to Toyota, and tourism in general keep the wheels turning. Recently, at a local election, Bereans chose to allow the sale of alcohol in restaurants after a 100-year drought.

We can pride ourselves of a low crime rate, a well-run school system, affordable property prices and a beautiful nature. There is easy access to larger cities such as Louisville, Knoxville, Cincinnati and Lexington. We are right on the I-75 corridor where it meets I-64.

Rebild Kentucky has knitted a great program together for y'all. Come and join us for the annual meeting and all the excitement. While here, make sure to get a copy of the CD "A Touch of Berea". It is worth it.
