                                 A Rebild representative will welcome you.

6:00 PM: Rebild Leadership program at Berea College. 

                This program includes the Rebild Board of Directors and Chapter Presidents 


Dinner on your own.

8:30 PM: Informal gathering in the lobby.

Thursday, April 12           

Breakfast on your own

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Board of Directors, meeting

8:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Chapter Presidents, meeting

Morning: Shopping possibilities on College Square. Guided tour of Berea College.

11:30 AM: Leave Boone Tavern for trip to The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

                  Short presentations by Dr. Martin Nielsen of University of Kentucky on "Horse Parasite Research", Shaila Siggaard on 

                  Icelandic horses in Kentucky, and horse farm manager John Rasmussen of Hill'n'Dale, Lexington. Packed lunch served during            

                  presentations. Parade of the Breeds, horse drawn wagon ride, video, etc. Impressive store.

3:30 PM:   Saddle Bred Museum, next to the horse park.

4:00 PM:   Bus leaves

5:00 PM:   Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea. Superb arts and crafts by superb Kentucky artists. Welcome by Director Todd Finley.

5:45 PM:   Return to Boone Tavern.

Dinner on your own.

7:30 PM:  Hors D'euvres and Woodford Reserve Bourbon tasting and lecture. Pending.

Friday, April 13           

Breakfast on your own.

8:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Combined meeting for Board og Directors and Chapter Presidents

11:00 AM - 12:15 PM: Lunch or brunch on your own.

12:30 PM:  Depart for Buffalo Trace Bourbon Distillery in Frankfort. One of Kentucky's finest distilleries that also has a significant export of its 

                   premium products.Tasting, giftshop, video presentation and tour of facility.

4:00  PM:   Arrive at Fort Boonesborough near the Kentucky River.

                   Enjoy a replica of pathfinder and trail blazer Daniel Boone's first settlement after he led pioneers through the Cumberland Gap.

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Kentucky cooking buffet and local entertainment at Russel Acton Folk Center, 212 Jefferson Street, Berea. 

Saturday, April 14           

Breakfast on your own

From 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Shuttles circles from Fairfield Inn/Holiday Inn Express to Boone Tavern to Kentucky Artisan Center to Artisan Village/Old Town Berea and back. 

Shuttle leaves every 30 min. Free of charge.

11:30 PM -   1:30 PM: Lunch on your own

2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Annual membership meeting.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Board of Directors, reorganization meeting.

5:00 PM: Raffle and silent auction begin in lobby. Feel free to bring an item for the silent auction. Ends at 7:30 PM.

6:00 PM: Cocktail reception (cash bar in lobby).

7:00 PM: Gala dinner at Hotel Boone Tavern.

                Starter:            Boone Tavern Greens with fried green tomatoes.

                Main courses: Seared Salmon with sorghum glazed mustard served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. OR

                                         Rosemary Grilled Chicken Breast with lemon-herb gravy served with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. OR

                                         Vegetarian Spring dinner. 

                Dessert:           Derby Day Pecan Pie  with coffee.   

                Beverages:      Ice water and iced tea included. Cash bar in lobby


9:00 PM - 11:00 PM: Dance and live swing music. Cash bar closes at 10:45 PM.

Sunday, April 15                   

10:30 AM: Union Church service - just across the street from Boone Tavern.

11:30 AM: The famous Boone Tavern Brunch (on your own).

12:15 PM: Keeneland Race Track, Lexington. Join us for some top-notch thoroughbred horse racing at one of America's finest tracks. We'll learn about the betting system, and enjoy a wonderful afternoon among maybe 30,000 other spectators.

5:00 PM Leave Keeneland and return to Berea.

7:00 PM: Visit Barbara and Sune Frederiksen's home, only five minutes drive from Hotel Boone Tavern. Enjoy snacks, a glass of wine, the pool, or perhaps a walk on the land. 

Departures throughout the day. Schedule your departure time. Transportation arranged to and from Lexington Bluegrass Airport (LEX) only.

Feel free to stay an extra night. 

Monday, April 16


10:00 AM: Leave for Kentucky Reptile Zoo in Slate that houses more than 1600 snakes from around the world. The facility delivers venom to all parts of the globe. Snakes natural to Kentucky include rattle snakes, cobberheads, moccasins, garter snakes, rat snakes, king snakes and many more. 

Move on to Natural Bridge in the Red River Gorge. Walk up, take the lift down. 

This is a unique nature experience. Join us, if you want to spend another day in Kentucky.
